Patrol Scribe

General

·        The Patrol Scribe reports to the Assistant Patrol Leader and coordinates with the Scribe Mentor.

·        Patrol Scribe is an important position requiring a minimum of 70% attendance.  If you are unable to perform a job function, it is your responsibility to find and designate a trained and qualified replacement, and to notify the Patrol Leader of the change before the date of that function.

·        As an important Patrol position, you must meet the highest standards for attitude, attendance, and appearance.  You must exemplify the Scout Oath and Law.

Upon election

·        Coordinate with previous Scribe to determine on going responsibilities.

·        Identify the goals for your position and for your personal advancement.  These goals will be listed as short term, three months, and long term, six months.  The goals must be measurable, achievable and meaningful.

Monthly

·        List all participants along with amounts paid for all patrol activities.

·        Submit the attendance list to the Troop Scribe.  Submit the money to appropriate position i.e. to grubmaster for food money or the designated adult for cash payments.

Weekly

·        Record attendance and dues payments.

·        Submit patrol attendance and due payments to Troop Scribes.

·        Keep log of patrol meetings, as required.  Post minutes of meeting on Patrol bulletin board.

As Needed

·        Maintain accurate patrol roster by submitting changes and reports to the Patrol Leader.

·        Maintains patrol bulletin board and patrol organizational chart.
